Welcome to the premiere issue of Altered States Magazine!

This premiere issue is special, because even though it's small, it's, well, the premiere. Here's what we've got inside this issue:

In our COLUMNS section, we've got Sound Off which describes more about what Altered States Magazine is about.

In our FEATURES section, we have our Cover Story, Operation: Toys for Talkers. You may have read some of this before, but it's not the full story -- and you've definitely not seen these pictures before! We also have a piece written by David Van Domelen talking about the differences between Decepticons and Predacons. Be sure to read From Faction to Philosophy at least twice in depth!

In our REVIEWS department, we've got reviews of Toys, Shows, and Fanzines.

In our FUN 'N' GAMES department, we've got the start of a brand new piece of fan fiction entitled Everyday People as well as not one, but two Contests for you to enter: Identify the Beast Wars Cast and Name Phil's Car, where each winner receives a limited edition Wal-Mart Transmetal Rattrap!
